Homemade Jam Tarts



Extremely delicious Jam tarts and all made at home!



Ingredients
180g plain flour
2 tbsp Castor Sugar
80g Butter
1 Egg
Pinch of Salt
Jam of your choice

Method

  1. Sieve the flour, sugar, and salt into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the butter and rub until it resembles crumbs.
  3. Beat the egg and stir into the mix.
  4. Now, gather the mix into a smooth dough ball. Wrap dough in clear film and place in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 220°c/gas mark 7. Lightly grease a 12-hole tartlet pan or muffin tray
  6. On a lightly floured surface, roll the pastry out to about 3mm thick.
  7. Using a round 3inch cutter (or anything you have of this size), stamp out 12 circles.
  8. Press the pastry circles into the greased tin. Place a teaspoon of jam into the center of each tart.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, until pastry is cooked and light golden brown.
  10. Let the tarts cool for a couple of minutes and then carefully lift the tarts out of the tray.
  11. Let them cool completely before eating.

Choco Cookies

Guilty pleasure at its peak! These cookies are amazing and a must for chocoholics!  Ingredients 150g Plain Flour 75g Soft light brown sugar 125g melted unsalted butter 25g Cocoa Powder 1 tsp bicarbonate soda 50g Caster Sugar 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp salt (optional but does help break up the taste from all the chocolate) 1 large egg from the fridge 130g Dark Chocolate 355g Dark chocolate chips Method Prehe at the oven to 170 degrees/gas mark 3. Plain Cupcakes

Very versatile cupcakes and can be used for any occasion  Ingredients 100g Plain Flour 100g Melted butter or Margarine 100g Castor Sugar 1 tsp Baking Powder 2 Eggs 1/2 tsp vanilla extract Method  Preheat the oven to 190 degrees/gas mark 5. Line a 12-hole muffin tray with 8-9 paper cases. Sieve the flour and baking powder Beat the butter/margarine and sugar together in a large bowl until fluffy and pale. in a separate bowl, beat the egg and vanilla extract together and gradually add this to the butter and sugar. Beat for 1-2 minutes. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the batter and beat for a few seconds. Now, fold the chocolate chips into the batter. Spoon the mixture into the cupcake cases and bake for 20 minutes. Check cupcakes are cooked by inserting a toothpick into the center. The toothpick should come out clean.
